Achieving Change Together

ClassACT HR86

ClassACT HR86—Harvard-Radcliffe Class of 1986: Achieving Change Together—is a class-led effort inspired by a model first created by the Class of 1973. At its core, it’s about something simple: staying connected to one another while trying to do some good together.

As we approach our 40th Reunion, this feels like a natural moment to think about what that connection could look like going forward. Not just seeing each other every five years, but finding ways to stay engaged—sharing ideas, supporting causes we care about, and using the experience and perspective we’ve built over time for positive change.

For some, that might mean diving into issues. For others, it might just be a way to stay loosely connected while contributing when it feels right. The idea is not to create something rigid, but something that evolves based on who shows up and what matters to us as a group.

ClassACT HR86 is less a program and more an invitation—to turn shared history into something ongoing and, hopefully, meaningful.

Meeting the Moment

This moment feels particularly important. Many nonprofits are facing significant funding losses, forcing them to scale back or close programs that communities rely on. At the same time, demand for services is growing, and gaps in access and opportunity continue to widen.

None of us can solve those problems alone. But together, we might be able to do something—whether that’s learning more, supporting organizations, or simply being more connected to the challenges and to each other.

Through ClassACT HR86, we are stepping forward, together, to serve.

How to Get Involved

There’s no single way to participate, and no expectation of a big commitment. A few starting points:
